West Texas is the end of the Great Plains migration for millions of mourning doves. Additionally, the towns located in this region support huntable populations of white wing doves that live annually around the area while roosting in the transplanted oaks and pecan trees in town. Bag limits in the area represent the viability of these birds and provide an opportunity for hunters to enjoy a sociable hunt with friends while going through plenty of shells!
